What I took from this poem is that each person's relationship to god/s is highly personal. Because we have to imagine the relationship, it comes from within us. We see and hear things because we want to, because we choose to believe and focus on it. Kinda like if you get a Honda CRV and you start to notice Honda CRV's everywhere -- because you're tuned into noticing what's personal to you. That's why I think it's cool to believe that there is a God looking out for you, because if you believe it, you start to act like it, and I imagine that this is a nice way to go about life.
